Todd Rigos hosting Roya Rasuli & Fridoon Joinda at Todd Rigos Studios

We are inviting you to the inauguration of Todd Rigos Studios in collaboration with Refugee Week Greece.

The exhibition space will showcase the works of Todd Rigos and Tanya Habjouca in the refugee field, as well as the paintings of the young Afghan artist Roya Rasuli, whose art focuses on the Afghan woman.
A panel discussion (in GREEK) will also take place with Todd Rigos, Natalia Galgos (Social Media Coordinator of Refugee Week Greece) and Myrto Mouzaki (Greek Journalist) amongst other speakers who will share their perspectives on the ethics of photography and journalism in ‘illustrating’ the refugee field.

To close the inauguration, the documentary ‘Nice Lie’ (in ENGLISH) by Joinda’s production will be screened with a short presentation from Fridoon Joinda.

Todd Rigos studios will be open until midnight for anyone that wants to join, with an acoustic live show from Maplerun Band.

Todd Rigos (b.1987) is a contemporary photographer from Athens, Greece, whose work explores notions of intimacy, identity, and human interaction. Through curiosity, observation and presence he seeks to witness and document patterns between people, nature, the things we consume and the milieus in which we live. He started developing his personal work in 2009 and his self-taught skills extend across digital and analogue photography. Since then, he has been recognized through several awards and has exhibited in numerous group shows in Athens and across the world. In 2019 he attended the Documentary, Photo Journalism & Studio program at Spéos International Photographic Institute & Magnum Photos in Paris, France. Upon graduation, he focused on the humanitarian field documenting the lives of refugees and trying to bring action through awareness. Now based in Athens, Todd is opening a new concept space consisting of studios, galleries and a terrace for hosting events.
