Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts & culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
This year, Refugee Week Greece takes place from 17-23rd June 2024. With celebrations happening every year, the annual festival aligns with World Refugee Day, celebrated globally on June 20th.

Refugee Week Greece has evolved into an international movement with events spanning the globe. To discover events near you, check out our events calendar or to connect with local, regional, or international organisers, visit our contact page

The theme for Refugee Week Greece 2024 is “Our Home”. From the places we gather to share meals to our collective home, planet Earth, everyone is invited to celebrate what our Our Home means to them. Together, let’s practise our solidarity and make Our Home a more welcoming, safe and sustainable place for all. Read more here.
There are many ways you can get involved in Refugee Week Greece. You can organise an event, volunteer, attend an event, take part in Simple Acts or share content on social media.
No. Refugee Week Greece is an umbrella festival, which means anyone can organise an event and call it Refugee Week Greece. The only requirements are that the event happens during the week, and that it celebrates refugee contributions in Greece and/ or promotes better understanding of refugee experiences. We encourage all Refugee Week Greece initiatives to reflect our core beliefs and values.
Our website includes helpful resources, such as a free Event Organiser Pack, which will help you plan your event. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us.
