Each year, we celebrate the launch of Refugee Week Greece with a special event hosted in a different city across the country. This event has now become a cherished tradition, highlighting and honouring local initiatives that promote inclusion, multiculturalism, and unity within communities.
The Municipality of Kallithea and the Migrant Integration Centre play a key role in the daily support and social inclusion of refugees and migrants, through personalised counselling, access to health, education and employment services, as well as empowerment activities.

Parallel Activities
Throughout the event, the foyer of the Municipal Theatre will host traditional arts and crafts workshops presented by members of the Turkish and Egyptian communities.

Our city is a vibrant crossroads where communities from across the Mediterranean and the Black Sea coexist in harmony.
In Kallithea, Greeks from Asia Minor and Pontus live and create alongside people from North Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe who have made this city their home. The different communities, cultural traditions and personal stories of our residents shape a society that is open, multicultural and deeply human.
