Join the Refugee Week Greece Youth Board
Your voice. Your ideas. Your impact.
For the fourth consecutive year, Refugee Week Greece is bringing together young people from different backgrounds to form its Youth Board, and we’re looking for new members to join us.
We’re inviting young people aged 18–30 who want to have a voice, share ideas, meet new people, and play an active role in shaping Refugee Week Greece. You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need to have previous experience in advocacy, cultural management or event planning. We’re inviting young people who are curious, creative, open-minded, and ready to get involved. Whether you have lived experience of displacement, are passionate about social justice and inclusion, have an interest in arts and culture, or simply want to contribute to positive change in your community, we’d love to hear from you.
The Refugee Week Greece Youth Board is a volunteer-led initiative that empowers young people—particularly those with lived experience of displacement or a passion for socially engaged arts—to shape the future of Refugee Week Greece, a cultural festival celebrating the contributions and creativity of refugees and migrants.
What is the Youth Board?
The Youth Board is a group of young people who work alongside the Refugee Week Greece team to bring fresh perspectives, ideas, and energy into the festival.
As a Youth Board member, you’ll have the opportunity to influence what Refugee Week Greece looks like, what stories and issues we bring forward, and how we connect with young people and wider communities.
Your voice matters — and we want it to be part of the conversation.
What will you do?
As a member of the Youth Board, you may:
- Share your perspective and help ensure that young people’s voices are represented.
- Develop ideas for events, activities and creative projects.
- Contribute to the program of Refugee Week Greece.
- Help us connect with young people, communities, organizations, and new audiences.
- Take part in discussions and creative sessions around displacement, inclusion, identity, community, arts and social change.
- Develop your own ideas or project for Refugee Week Greece, with support from our team.
- Collaborate with other young people in Greece and potentially with Youth Boards and organizations internationally.

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a community of young people who believe that their voices can help shape the world around them.
How much time does it involve?
The Youth Board is a voluntary role.
We expect members to dedicate approximately 6 hours per month, including:
- around 2 hours for our monthly online Youth Board meeting
- approximately 2–4 additional hours for research, activities, meetings or project development.
We understand that everyone has different schedules, so we aim to make participation as accessible and flexible as possible!
