Hajipour won the Best Song For Social Change award at the 2023 Grammy Awards. He won the award for his song Baraye, which was listened by over 40 million people in less than two days, according to the Grammy website. @recordingacademy

Hajipour's song Baraye has become the unofficial anthem of the Iranian women-led protests following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini over the country's hijab rule last year.

“This song became the anthem of the Mahsa Amini protests, a powerful and poetic poem for freedom and women’s rights"

🌈 To bring a ray of sunshine to this rainy day 🌈 To bring a ray of sunshine to this rainy day here in Greece, we are announcing our first collaboration event for Refugee Week Greece festival 2023. 🌈

@artemisoutset
@rall0u

Supported by Outset Contemporary Art Fund Greece, we will be hosting tailored-made Refugee Week Greece tours of the exhibition with discussions around compassion, art and citizenship.

The most ambitious and expansive exhibition to date of contemporary artworks created with augmented reality (AR) technology appearing simultaneously in gardens around the world.

And it is coming to Refugee Week Greece!

The participating artists are Refik Anadol, El Anatsui, Ori Gersht, Isaac Julien CBE RA, Mohammed Kazem, Sigalit Landau, Daito Manabe, Sarah Meyohas, Mel O’Callaghan, Pamela Rosenkranz, Timur Si-Qin, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Ai Weiwei.

Including new artwork of Greek artist @loukiaalavanou - "Nea Zoi 2022"

This AR piece is the outcome of a dialogue with children from the marginal Romani community of Nea Zoi, an uncharted toxic wasteland in the periphery of Western Athens.

A dystopic world, made out of visual and auditory elements that pollute their everyday landscape transforms into a green U-topia, a non-place inspired by elements drawn by the children who were asked how they would dream their neighbourhood to look like.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between man and the environment, exploring the boundaries and connections between art, technology and nature. The report utilizes models of sustainable practices, thus placing these digital experiences within the botanical gardens, underlining the importance of protecting flora and fauna of the region and limiting the carbon footprint to a minimum.
