DESCRIPTION

Babel Day Centre ‘s ‘rhythmic expression’ group is opening its doors for the first time to anyone who wants to try the exercises, games and songs studied by Babel’s members with dance anthropologist Natasha Martin and other guest artists.
In the friendly Kypseli Municipal Market, through body grounding and somatic independence exercises, rhythm games, West African melodies and dance therapy exercises, we will become a team, socialize, and reconnect with our bodies, ourselves and those around us.

The event is connected to the theme of the Refugee Week in an attempt to find ‘home’ within us, in the body and in the environment we are in the present. As long as we experience our body as a safe and well-built home, we can empower ourselves and manage everyday difficulties more easily.

The action, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, is accessible and open to everyone over 18 years of age.
