Activities at Ioannina

Call for local organisations to collaborate.

Refugee Week Greece is returning 15–21 June 2026 with the theme Courage — celebrating the stories, creativity, and contributions of refugees and migrants, and bringing communities together through arts and culture.

We would love to hear if you are planning any activities in Ioannina during that week, as we would be very happy to connect and align our efforts.

We’re also excited to share that we already have plans for Ioannina this year, through our ongoing collaboration with the Department of Architecture at London Metropolitan University (ARCSR – Architecture of Rapid Change and Scarce Resources unit), which we are bringing to the city.

Our plan spans two weeks:
15–21 June: Students Participation in Refugee Week events (workshops, exhibitions, volunteering).
22–28 June: Open, community-based workshops and making activities in Tzavela Square (Kaloutsiani), leading to a final public event.

The London Met students are keen to volunteer during the festival and the following week to develop the work at Tzavela Square and co-create these public moments. We would love to connect with local partners, artists, and groups who might like to join.
